Since joining the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) in 2022, Berlinger believes to have deepened their ambition towards global sustainability.
As the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, the UNGC has called upon businesses around the globe to accelerate and support the collective impact on upholding the Ten principles of the Sustainable Development Goals.
With the UNGC’s tagline,“Let’s make Global Goals Local Business”, they seek to promote responsible business practices by stimulating multi-stakeholder dialogue, providing knowledge, tools, and mutual learning for businesses. As a responsible participant of the UN Global Compact Network Switzerland & Liechtenstein, Berlinger is intent on taking concrete action in advancing to engage in peer group forums for knowledge sharing and to improve overall corporate responsibility towards sustainability.
The UNGC additionally offers a platform to support companies in aligning their corporate strategies, operations, and their culture with the UNGC’s Ten Principles put into these four areas (human rights, labor standards, environment, anti-corruption) and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As part of the UN Global Compact's commitment to sustainable and responsible business practices, Berlinger has embedded the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact into strategies and operations.
