The World Federation of Hemophilia | Berlinger USA

Hear from Georgios Ampartzidis, Logistics Manager at the World Federation of Hemophilia, how the Berlinger solution improved their day-to-day business practices, bringing more quality assurance and optimized reporting to operations.

The World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) is the global federation supporting patients around the world with bleeding disorders. All products donated by the WFH are temperature sensitive and require accurate and seamless end-to-end condition monitoring and tracking to eliminate the risk of losing donations or goods in the event of a temperature deviation.

The WFH desired a solution with a software platform, offering complete data access worldwide with audit-ready reports and lean, field-tested hardware. After a presentation of the WFH Humanitarian Aid Program by George, Berlinger approached the WFH with their effective solution of software, hardware, and services, and thus marked the starting point of the cooperation.

The WFH could unfold the full potential of Berlinger's SmartView software, providing full reporting, analysis, tracking, and monitoring information in one open platform. With the implementation of the Berlinger solution, the WFH was able to increase its cost efficiency while decreasing time-consuming manual work.

Ever since, the WFH is prepared for audits or other assessments by the WFH donors as SmartView enables complete insights and precise reporting according to the highest quality standards. This has added great value to the WFH’s day-to-day practices, leading to more quality assurance and audit-proof reporting.

Another qualification criterion for the WFH was a high level of flexibility and customer service that Berlinger is providing, in George’s words “It is the flexibility, the good customer service”. With several warehouses from which the WFH is shipping the products, the WFH depends on getting the devices “on demand”, wherever in the world required to be delivered.

The World Federation of Hemophilia

The World Federation of Hemophilia with its Humanitarian Department is shipping products for the treatment of hemophilia to more than 84 countries with demanding temperature profiles such as Sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Asia, and Central & South America. Berlinger has the capability to meet these demanding temperature profiles with its proven product performance over the years.
