External Sensors

The external sensor brings the advantage that only the flat cable needs to be put in the freezer / cold room and the Fridge-tag device can be fixed outside. This reduces temperature fluctuations as the door of the freezer / cold room does not need to be opened to read out the Fridge-tag.

The Fridge tag 2, Fridge-tag 2 E, Fridge-tag 2 L and Fridge-tag Ultra Low have been validated by the makers of the Varo app, to be compatible with the free Varo mobile application, which reads out data from the Fridge-tag loggers and sends it via email to user-defined recipients in a format that can be easily aggregated using a separate free application called Pogo LT.

Fridge-tag 2 E

Detailed evaluation of temperature threshold violation
The Fridge-tag 2 E shows irrevocably the exact point in time and the date of the first limit violations. Additional information such as how long limits were exceeded and the highest and lowest temperatures help in making binding decisions. The details can be easily read on the device and in the easy-to-read PDF report.

Individual alarm programming
Two alarm limits (one upper and one lower alarm limit) can be programmed individually at a temperature range of –20°C up to +50 °C. The alarm limits can be ordered either as default factory settings or set personally on-site.

Exact measurement of temperature and time
The Fridge-tag 2 E is a high-precision, electronic temperature monitor. Calibration traceable to ILAC recognised international standard (e.g. SAS, NIST) upon request. The sensor has a measurement precision of +/– 0.5°C. Temperature measurement occurs every minute throughout the entire monitoring time. This guarantees faultless and extremely accurate measurement results. Even if an alarm limit has been exceeded and the Fridge-tag 2 E alarm is displayed, it accumulates each additional temperature threshold violation.
